CPSC Regulations

Consumer Product Safety Act (CPSA) - established the CPSC in 1972 - regulations affect all manufacturers and importers of consumer goods in the U.S.

Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) - expanded the CPSC's regulatory and enforcement tools, including financial penalties for non-compliance and restricts harmful substances (focusing on lead and phthalates) in consumer products, especially for children under 12

Federal Hazardous Substances Act (FHSA) - requires warning labels for certain hazardous (corrosive, reactive or toxic) products and allows CPSC to ban and regulate hazardous substances, toys and products for children
